Terms of Service

1. Service Agreement

By engaging Embaby Carpentry for services, you agree to these terms and conditions. We provide construction, renovation, and custom carpentry services across Ottawa and surrounding areas. Our commitment is to provide professional, high-quality workmanship at your designated location.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

We require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling of scheduled work. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start may be subject to a cancellation fee. In the event of extreme weather or unsafe working conditions, we reserve the right to reschedule for safety reasons.

3. Project Requirements

For construction and renovation projects, we require:

• Safe and accessible work area.
• All necessary permits and approvals obtained (we can assist with this).
• Authorization to perform work on the property.
• Clear access to the work area and necessary utilities.

4. Pricing & Payment

All quotes are estimates based on the information provided. Final pricing may vary based on actual project conditions discovered during work. Payment schedules are typically structured with an initial deposit, progress payments, and final payment upon completion. Payment methods accepted include cash, checks, and e-transfer.

5. Liability & Insurance

We are fully licensed and insured. While we take every precaution, we are not responsible for:

• Pre-existing structural or mechanical issues discovered during work.
• Damage caused by pre-existing conditions or hidden defects.
• Items or property not removed from the work area before commencement.

6. Satisfaction Guarantee

We stand behind our work and encourage a final walk-through upon completion. Any concerns must be raised at the time of completion or within 7 days of project completion. We will address any legitimate concerns to ensure your satisfaction.

7. Permits & Compliance

We handle all necessary permits and coordinate with local building departments for inspections. Our work complies with Ottawa and Ontario building codes and regulations. Customers are responsible for any additional permits or approvals required by their municipality or property management.
